I have been collecting Gothic furniture for several years now, and as such have encountered many retailers, both locally, and on the internet.
My experience, with the owner of "The Gatz", John Deterer, truly stands out amongst the rest.  The quality of his pieces are exceptional, and his product descriptions are accurate and detailed.  He has handled all of my transactions personally, from start to finish, including freight management, which alot of internet retailers won't be bothered with.  I have very specific requirements and tastes, and John works very hard to find the perfect piece, for the perfect location in our home.  He is tireless, and I often receive emails from John at night or on the weekends. When buying a “big ticket” item such as the antique desk I purchased from you, there must be faith in the seller that the product is as described and he will deliver the item in good condition and in a timely manner. You certainly far exceeded my expectations both in the merchandise and customer service. Sorry it's taken so long to get back with you.  The bookcase is gorgeous.  I am delighted.  The trim on the left corner all fell off in shipping, but we should be able to gently reattach the pieces...hopefully without travail.

Hi I just received the French mantle, and it is absolutely incredible. Some how this mantle was made to be in our home!!! There is only 1 inch between the old brick mantle and the new one on the side, and the arch of the French mantle corresponds EXACTLY with the arch of the brick mantle. Amazing!!!!
